Rogers is on a seven-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Emerald Ridge is on a seven-game streak of away wins (also dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. The Rogers Rams will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Emerald Ridge Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Rogers barely beat South Kitsap the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Everything went Rogers' way against South Kitsap on Tuesday as Rogers made off with a 13-1 victory. The contest marked the Rams' most dominant win of the season so far.

She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season.
In other batting news, Rogers got a massive performance out of Payton Walling, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. That home run was Walling's first of the season. Riley Humphrey was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-4.

Meanwhile, Emerald Ridge never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They blew past Curtis 35-0. The Jaguars haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.
Alanna Wirtala made a splash while hitting and pitching. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Wirtala was also big at the plate, going 4-for-5 with three RBI and two doubles. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March of 2024.

Emerald Ridge's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Rogers, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Thursday. Rogers hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.6 home runs per game. However, it's not like Emerald Ridge struggles in that department as they've been averaging 1 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
