Brandon Valley is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of South Dakota's top teams: O'Gorman, who was ranked 20th at the time (Brandon Valley was ranked fifth). The Lynx came out on top against the Knights by a score of 6-1 on Tuesday. Those six runs were actually the fewest the Lynx have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Macy Lembcke spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Danielle Schoby was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Kennedy Fitts was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Brandon Valley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .406. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as O'Gorman only posted a batting average of .192.
Meanwhile, Watertown lost 12-4 to Brookings on Tuesday. The Arrows have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Watertown saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alayna Dettmann, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Watertown's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Brandon Valley, their win bumped their record up to 8-2.
Watertown's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Brandon Valley has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .497. It's a different story for Watertown, though, as they've only averaged .340. Will they be able to contain Brandon Valley's hitters?
