West Lauderdale fought the good fight in their overtime match on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They had victory within their grasp but couldn't quite capture it as the team lost 13-14 to Neshoba Central. West Lauderdale were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Neshoba Central apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat from the last time the teams met up.
The loss dropped West Lauderdale's record to 3-1. The victory bumped Neshoba Central's record up to 4-0.
Next week West Lauderdale take on Kemper County at West Lauderdale Homecoming at 7:00 PM. Neshoba Central will stay at home against Northeast Lauderdale at 7:00 PM.
