Rancho Bernardo and San Marcos are an even 5-5 against one another  since March of 2018, but likely not for long. The Rancho Bernardo Broncos will be playing at home against the San Marcos Knights at 3:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.   Mia Cascio was  incredible,  going 2-for-3 with a  home run and two  runs. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kendall Luna de la Fuente, who  went 1-for-3 with a  triple and two  RBI.
 Meanwhile, San Marcos was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight  loss. They fell just short of San Pasqual by a score of  5-3.
  Caylene Nguyen was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, she  struck out 11 batters over  6.2 innings while giving up  four earned  (and one unearned) runs off   six  hits. Nguyen has been consistent recently: she hasn't  pitched less than five  innings in four consecutive pitching appearances. Nguyen was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
 In other batting news,  Emily Lew was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 2-for-3 with two  doubles and  an  RBI.
 Even though they lost, San Marcos  didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and  finished the game with 11  strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as San Pasqual only tossed five.
 Rancho Bernardo's win bumped their record up to 10-5-1. As for San Marcos, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10.
 Rancho Bernardo came out on top in a nail-biter against San Marcos  in their previous meeting  back in April of 2023, sneaking past  1-0. Will Rancho Bernardo repeat their success,  or does  San Marcos have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
