If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Oak Grove. They will challenge Delta Charter on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. Oak Grove are coming into the contest hot, having won three in a row.
Oak Grove ran circles around Sterlington last Friday, and the extra yardage (440 yards vs. 230.1 yards) paid off. Oak Grove snuck past Sterlington with a 20-14 win. No one put up better numbers for Oak Grove than junior Kameron Holloway, who brought his A game into the match. He rushed for 148 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Delta Charter were the first on the board but had to settle for second at the end of their match against General Trass. Delta Charter came up short against General Trass, falling 26-40.
Oak Grove's victory lifted them to 3-0 while Delta Charter's defeat dropped them down to 1-2. We'll find out if Oak Grove can add another positive mark to their record or if Delta Charter can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Oak Grove's step.
