The Elk Grove Thundering Herd are on the road again on Wednesday and play against the Antioch Panthers at 5:20 p.m. on December 27th. Hopefully Elk Grove focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Friday.
Last Friday, Elk Grove had just enough and edged Liberty Ranch out 44-42.
Elk Grove found their leader in underclassman Noah Hargrave, who scored 18 points. Liam Acido was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Antioch scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They secured a 66-61 W over Vintage. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Elk Grove's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Antioch, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-8.
