Things haven't been easy for Osceola/High Plains, and their match on Friday only extended their streak of losses to three. They fell to East Butler 42-52. The defeat was a vexing one since Osceola/High Plains were expected to win based on their state ranking.
A silver lining for Osceola/High Plains was the play of junior Dylan Soule, who rushed for 160 yards and 3 touchdowns. In fact, with 11 tackles Soule was a force on both sides of the ball. Additional support came from defensive powerhouse junior Tanner Kropatsch, who racked up 14 tackles.
Next week Osceola/High Plains take on Nebraska Lutheran . These teams both have had a rocky road up to this point with three consecutive losses for Osceola/High Plains and four for Nebraska Lutheran. East Butler will be staying on the road, facing off against Brownell Talbot. Brownell Talbot are limping into the game on a six-game losing streak.
