Chambers/Wheeler Central has not had much luck with Elgin/Pope John recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Chambers/Wheeler Central's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Elijah Heinz, who scored 14 points, and William Jesse who scored nine points. Michael Jesse was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Chambers/Wheeler Central's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-14. As for Elgin/Pope John, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.
Chambers/Wheeler Central will head out on the road to take on Neligh-Oakdale at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Elgin/Pope John, they will be playing at home against Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] on Thursday. Elgin/Pope John is on a four-game streak of home wins, Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] a six-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
