The Fountain Valley Danes will be playing in front of their home fans against the DSST: Cedar Falcons at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Fountain Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 32 on Thursday.
Fountain Valley's recent rough patch got a bit rougher after their third straight loss. Their tough 42-21 loss to Thomas MacLaren School might stick with them for a while.
Despite the loss, Fountain Valley had strong showings from Meryland Gonzalez, who scored four points along with six rebounds and five steals, and Quin Lewis, who scored seven points along with three steals and two blocks. Gonzalez hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games.

Katelyn Fortune continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Amaya Paul, who scored six points along with eight rebounds and six steals.
Fountain Valley's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-4. As for DSST: Cedar, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record this season.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Fountain Valley have been smashing the glass this season, having only averaged 23.6 rebounds per game. However, it's not like DSST: Cedar struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 43.1 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Fountain Valley beat DSST: Cedar 40-30 in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Will Fountain Valley repeat their success, or does DSST: Cedar have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
