It was a good run, but the Riverpointe Christian Academy Wolves unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of Charleston Math & Science by a score of 43-40.
Riverpointe Christian Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Terry Truesdale Jr and Kevin Dukes Jr. Truesdale Jr scored ten points along with eight rebounds and three steals, while Dukes Jr scored 12 points. The matchup was Dukes Jr's seventh in a row with at least ten points.
Charleston Math & Science's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zion King, who scored nine points. King has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Tyler Simmons was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Riverpointe Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Charleston Math & Science, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-5.
Riverpointe Christian Academy will head out on the road to face off against Northwood Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Northwood Academy is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak. Charleston Math & Science won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics at 7:30 p.m. on December 13th. Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
