The Big Sandy Pioneers had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.7 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They came out on top against Fort Benton/Highwood by a score of 49-36. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Big Sandy has scored all year.
It was another big night for Eva Yeadon, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 15 rebounds. Kiera Galbavy was another key contributor, scoring four points along with four blocks and three steals.
Big Sandy's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Fort Benton/Highwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Box Elder the next time they take the court. Big Sandy will head out to face Box Elder at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Fort Benton/Highwood will host them at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
