The Tattnall Square Academy Trojans are on the road again on Friday and play against the First Presbyterian Day Vikings at 7:30 p.m. on November 24th. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
With a playoff game on the line, Tattnall Square Academy rose to the challenge on Friday. They took down the Knights 34-20. Tattnall Square Academy's victory was all the more impressive since Bethlehem Christian Academy was averaging only 8.64 points allowed on the season.
Antone Johnson was his usual excellent self, rushing for 220 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 11.0 yards per carry, and also throwing for 28 yards and a touchdown while completing 100% of his passes. Johnson was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 68 yards.
Meanwhile, First Presbyterian Day entered their tilt with Strong Rock Christian with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. First Presbyterian Day came out on top against Strong Rock Christian by a score of 23-13 on Friday.
John Milledge Academy's victory bumped their season record to 0-0 while Tattnall Square Academy's defeat dropped theirs to 4-6.
Tattnall Square Academy couldn't quite finish off First Presbyterian Day in their previous matchup back in October and fell 29-26. Can Tattnall Square Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
