Big Game from Cline As Magnolia Fell 13-9
Magnolia had to settle for second on Friday, but Derricks Cline sure wasn't going down easily. Cline was dynamite, picking up 92 receiving yards and a touchdown. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 60 yards.
This is the second loss in a row for Magnolia and nudges their season record down to 1-8. Cline and Magnolia will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Saddleback at 7:00 p.m. on November 1st.

Emiliano Ramirez Turns in Season-Best Effort
Sadly, Emiliano Ramirez posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Magnolia over Godinez Fundamental on Friday. Ramirez threw for 157 yards and a touchdown. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing a fumble and making five total tackles.
For the year, Ramirez has thrown those 1 touchdown while averaging 58.8 passing yards per game.

Savanna's Losing Streak Is No More Thanks to Jake Dorsi
Thanks in part to Jake Dorsi, Savanna said goodbye to their seven-game losing streak. Dorsi was unstoppable on Friday, rushing for 131 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 101 rushing yards dating back to last season.
Unfortunately for Century, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Dorsi. When Dorsi last faced the Centurions back in October of 2023, he rushed for 87 yards and two touchdowns, and also picked up 80 receiving yards and a touchdown.
