Baseball Recap: Harvest Community Has No Trouble Against Cedar Creek Christian

Harvest Community won the last time they faced Cedar Creek Christian and things went their way on Monday too. The Harvest Community Warriors put the hurt on the Cedar Creek Christian Saints with a sharp 12-2 win. The game marked the Warriors' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Khason Krey was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. What's more, he posted two hits, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Harvest Community let Jonathan Drost and Quinn King run wild. Drost scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4, while King scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Drost has become a key player for Harvest Community: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 1-4 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Nate Barnett, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Harvest Community always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .611. They are 3-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Harvest Community's win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-5. As for Cedar Creek Christian, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Harvest Community has already played their next matchup, a 15-0 defeat against Eagle's View on the 6th. As for Cedar Creek Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 15-0 loss against Parker on the 4th.
