Baseball Recap: Depaul College Prep Wins Going Away Against Saint Ignatius College Prep

DePaul College Prep's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 10-3 margin over the Saint Ignatius College Prep Wolfpack. Considering the Rams have won seven matches by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Gavin Glibowski looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, DePaul College Prep got a massive performance out of Quinn Roberts, who fired off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. That's the most RBI Roberts has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Latko, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

DePaul College Prep always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Saint Ignatius College Prep only posted an OBP of .367.

DePaul College Prep's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 19-4. As for Saint Ignatius College Prep, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season.

DePaul College Prep will have a chance to go back-to-back against Saint Ignatius College Prep: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
