The Sacramento Dragons stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 62-41 margin over Vista del Lago. Winning may never get old, but Sacramento sure is getting used to it with their 13th in a row.
Sacramento's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Shobal Barksdale led the charge by dropping a double-double on 16 points and 20 rebounds. Barksdale hasn't dropped below 15points for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendahl Hearne, who scored 15 points along with eight assists and five rebounds.
Despite the defeat, Vista del Lago had strong showings from Curbey Babiano, who scored nine points, and Nathan Kramer, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Sacramento is on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season. As for Vista del Lago, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-14.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Christian Brothers the next time they take the court. Sacramento will host Christian Brothers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Vista del Lago will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
