Basketball Recap: Edgewater Drops Highest Score of Season Against Horizon

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Edgewater). They blew past the Horizon Hawks 89-47 on Tuesday. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 21 points or more this season.

Several Hawks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bradley Webb, who posted 11 points along with five boards and three steals. What's more, Webb also racked up four assists, the most he's had since back in January of 2024. Diego Rojas was another key player, putting up 12 points and five rebounds.

Edgewater has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points per game. As for Horizon, they are on a 20-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-17.

Edgewater will face off against North Tampa Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Horizon, they will challenge Wekiva at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
