Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Holliston, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Sunday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Medfield 2-1. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Lucas Engel looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three).
On the hitting side, Holliston's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Sam Schoenberg, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple was Schoenberg's first of the season.
Dover-Sherborn's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Holliston, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Dover-Sherborn skirted past Holliston 3-1 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Do the Raiders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
