Flomaton hasn't had much luck against Jay recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Hurricanes will venture away from home to face off against the Royals at 6:30 p.m. Flomaton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.
Flomaton will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Friday, then bounced right back against Straughn on Monday. The Hurricanes were the clear victors by a 16-2 margin over the Tigers. Considering the Hurricanes' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Kamden Martin was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. He has become a key player for Flomaton: the team is 6-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 6-8 otherwise.
In other batting news, Riley Harrison was a standout: he got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Michael Wedgeworth was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run.
Flomaton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .639. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
The home team had won the previous four meetings between Jay and T.R. Miller, and T.R. Miller kept the tradition alive. The Royals took a 12-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers on Monday.
Jay saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jax Lowery, who went 2-for-5 with one double and one RBI.
Flomaton's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-9. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Jay, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-6.
Flomaton suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Jay in their previous meeting back in February of 2025. Can the Hurricanes avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
