Karns had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Knox Central on Saturday. The Beavers were the clear victors by an 11-4 margin over the Panthers. The Beavers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by seven runs or more this season.

Karns has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-12 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.2 runs over those games. As for Knox Central, they dropped their record down to 2-9 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Karns will welcome Oak Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Beavers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Knox Central, they will square off against Lynn Camp at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
