Given their disadvantage in the MaxPreps national rankings, Ramah should expect quite the challenge on Friday. They will challenge Mountainair on the road at 4:00 PM. Ramah come in off of three low-scoring performances in a row, a trend the team is obviously eager to reverse.
There's no need to mince words: Ramah lost to Dora last week, and they lost bad. The score wound up at 0-52. The game was over by the end of the first half, with no points scored by either team from that point forward.
Meanwhile, Mountainair took the game and then some with a 56-12 win over Mesilla Valley Christian School. The success represented a nice turnaround for Mountainair, who in their last game suffered a tough 16-57 loss.
Mountainair's victory lifted them to 2-1 while Ramah's defeat dropped them down to 0-3. We'll see if Mountainair's success rolls on or if Ramah are able to steal their positive momentum.
