Bureau Valley's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the ROWVA/Williamsfield Cougars a 10-0 shutout. Considering the Storm have won eight games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Bureau Valley has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for ROWVA/Williamsfield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.

Coming up, Bureau Valley will venture away from home to challenge Knoxville at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Storm are facing the Blue Bullets at the right time seeing as the Blue Bullets are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for ROWVA/Williamsfield, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Midwest Central at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
