The Arcata Tigers won the last time they faced the Fortuna Huskies, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Arcata escaped with a win against Fortuna by the margin of a single free throw, 53-52.
Arcata was led to victory by Dayquan Dunn and Luke Lemke. Dunn scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and five steals, while Lemke scored 20 points along with seven rebounds. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Lennon Gieder, who scored four points.
Arcata now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Fortuna, their loss dropped their record down to 10-6.
Arcata will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Ukiah at 7:00 p.m. on January 6th. As for Fortuna, they will be playing at home against McKinleyville at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. McKinleyville will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
