Kearns took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They claimed a resounding 48-6 victory over the Ben Lomond Scots. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 27-6.
Javier Garcia was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 170 yards and a pair of scores on only 12 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Britt, who rushed for 78 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Kearns was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 395 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ben Lomond only rushed for 94 rushing yards.
