 Avery Ellis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned  (and three unearned) runs on four hits and racked up eight Ks.
 On the hitting side,  Kailey Stynsberg was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  double. The team also got some help courtesy of  Avia Miller, who  went 1-for-2 with three  stolen bases and one  run.
Kenai Central now  has a winning record of 16-15. As for Kodiak, their loss  ended  a  four-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 16-10.
As of now, neither Kenai Central nor the Bears have any future games scheduled.
