Chickasha's rock-solid pitchers showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Plainview Indians an 8-0 shutout. Considering the Fighting Chicks have won eight matches by more than seven runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Javy Nieto was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two). Lane Jay was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Chickasha hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Plainview struck out 11 times.

Chickasha has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Plainview, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-10.

Coming up, Chickasha will be playing at home against Elk City at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Plainview, they will venture away from home to face off against Marietta at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
