Schaumburg Christian took a hard 59-42 fall against Harvest Christian Academy. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Schaumburg Christian in their matchups with Harvest Christian Academy: they've now lost three in a row.
Schaumburg Christian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Candela Garcia, who scored 18 points. That was a full 42.9% of Schaumburg Christian's points, marking the seventh time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Stephanie Tenuto, who scored four points along with 11 rebounds and three steals.
Harvest Christian Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Daphne Brown, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine assists. Brown hasn't dropped below three steals for eight straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Burke, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Schaumburg Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Harvest Christian Academy, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-11.
Schaumburg Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Harvest Christian Academy also has no future games currently scheduled.
