The Frisco Raccoons will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Reedy Lions at 7:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a five-game winning streak alive.
Last Thursday, Frisco narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Heritage 10-7.
Meanwhile, Reedy got themselves on the board against Sherman on Friday, but Sherman never followed suit. They blew past the Bearcats 59-0 at home. The result was nothing new for Reedy, who have now won six matchups by 23 points or more so far this season.
Triston Airy continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 201 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.6 yards per carry. Airy is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last six games he's played. Kahlil Smith made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Frisco's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 6-1. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-7 Liberty and 1-6 Lebanon Trail (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 33% over those games). Reedy has been no stranger to the win column this season, as they've started out with wins in seven of their first eight matches, giving them a 7-1 record.
Frisco might still be hurting after the 29-7 loss they got from Reedy in their previous matchup back in October of 2022. Will Frisco have more luck at home instead of on the road?
