Hopi scored the most runs they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They lost 18-6 to the Northland Prep Academy Spartans. The Bruins were not able to make up for their defeat to the Spartans from their previous meeting back in March of 2016.

Hopi is on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4. As for Northland Prep Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Hopi will look to defend their home field on Friday against Greyhills Academy at 2:00 p.m. Hopi is facing Greyhills Academy at the right time seeing as Greyhills Academy is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Northland Prep Academy, they will venture away from home to take on Red Rock at 1:00 p.m. on Monday.
