After losing to Highlands the last time they met, Encina decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Bulldogs blew past the Scots 3-0 on Tuesday. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Bulldogs.

 Nicole Aguilar Umanzor paced Encina's offense, picking up 11 kills. Aguilar Umanzor got some help from  Nyla Pomtong and her 22 assists. Pomtong also made an impact serving:  she shared the team lead in aces with  Sarah Cowley, each putting up three.
Encina's victory bumped their record up to 11-16. As for Highlands, their defeat  ended  a  three-match streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 9-9.
 Coming up, Encina will venture away from home to  challenge John Adams Academy Rsvl/Lin  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Highlands, they will host Woodland Christian  at 6:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
