KINGSLAND, Ga. -
Camden County (Kingsland, Ga.) didn't let up as Saturday's game came to a close, scoring 14 in the fourth quarter to seal a 42-8 victory over Brunswick (Ga.).
The Wildcats were up 21-8 at the half after taking the lead on a
Harrison Poole touchdown pass to
Conner Lockhart in the second quarter.
Camden County expanded its lead to 20 points entering the fourth quarter. CC scored once in the quarter on a touchdown run by
Jay Sheppard.
The Kingsland school's standout player in the win was Poole. The freshman halfback threw three touchdowns.
The Pirates' lone touchdown came on a run in the second quarter.
The Wildcats went into the matchup giving up only 5.3 points per game.
Camden County (8-0) will play a AAAAAA Region 1 game against Lowndes next week, while Brunswick (3-5) will take on Valdosta also in a AAAAAA Region 1 game.
