On Tuesday, Van Horn earned a  28-19 victory over Big Bend. The  win made it back-to-back wins for Van Horn.
 Van Horn's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Malia Bermudez led the charge by  scoring seven points along with eight  rebounds. Bermudez is on a roll when it comes to  steals, as she's  now  grabbed two or more in the last five games she's  played.  Violet Garcia was another key contributor,  scoring two points along with 11  rebounds.
 Van Horn is  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five contests,  which provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season. As for Big Bend, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
 Van Horn will take on Comstock at 10:30  a.m.  on Thursday. Big Bend will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Balmorhea at 6:00  p.m.  on January 9, 2024.
