The Jensen Beach Falcons will be playing in front of their home fans against the Central Cobras at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Jensen Beach will be strutting in after a victory while Central will be coming in after a loss.
Jensen Beach has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 28 points or more this season. They really took it to Okeechobee for the full four quarters, racking up a 47-19 victory on the road. The victory was nothing new for Jensen Beach as they're now sitting on three straight.
Jensen Beach got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ella Udzinski out in front who scored 9 points. Udzinski continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Abby Fitzwater, who scored 6 points along with 10 rebounds.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Central's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 59-52 to Centennial.
Loss or not, Central got some senior leadership from HARMON RANDOLPH who scored 20 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals and AQUNAIS WEST who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. The matchup was RANDOLPH's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of CHAU DAVIS, who scored 8 points along with 3 steals.
Even though they lost, Central were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 26 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Centennial only pulled down 13.
Their wins bumped Jensen Beach to 4-2 and Okeechobee to 2-5.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Jensen Beach have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 36.2 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Central struggles in that department as they've been even better at 47.8 per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
