While it was all tied up 12-12 at halftime, the Glenn Falcons were not quite the LaVille Lancers's equal in the second half on Tuesday. Glenn fell to LaVille 35-29. Glenn was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as LaVille apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Glenn's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Addison Reese, who scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Dre Weddington, who scored four points along with five steals.
Glenn struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead LaVille to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brooke Edison, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and five steals. Edison is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Mikalah Kuskye, who scored nine points.
Glenn's loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 8-7. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 21.7 points per game. As for LaVille, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Glenn will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on NorthWood at 7:45 p.m. on January 2, 2024. LaVille will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Caston at 2:30 p.m. on January 6, 2024.
