Baseball Recap: Lehman Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Victory

Lehman won against Riverdale/Kingsbridge Academy last Thursday with eight runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Lions came out on top against Riverdale/Kingsbridge Academy by a score of 8-3. The victory was just business as usual for the Lions, who after six games remain undefeated this season.

Keven Luciano was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over 4.1 innings pitched. Luciano was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Jason Rosado Jr was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. That stolen base marked the first that he snagged this season. Rayniel Linares was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base.

Lehman pushed their record up to 6-0 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Riverdale/Kingsbridge Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Lehman Lions face off against Evander Childs Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Riverdale/Kingsbridge Academy, they are taking a road trip to challenge Columbus at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
