Corydon Central is 7-2 against Austin since December of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Wednesday. The Corydon Central Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Austin Eagles at 7:30  p.m. Hopefully Corydon Central focused on turnovers this week  since the team gave up ten on Thursday.
 After a string of three wins, Corydon Central's good fortune finally ran out. Their  rough  63-43 loss to Scottsburg  might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Corydon Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings  (they are ranked 111th, while Scottsburg is ranked 20th).
 Despite their  defeat, Corydon Central saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays.  Alyssa Groover, who  scored 12 points along with 9  rebounds and 4  blocks, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of  Josie Vaughn, who  scored 16 points along with 3  steals.
 Meanwhile, Austin came up short against Charlestown on Wednesday and fell  50-38.
 Their wins bumped Corydon Central to 5-3 and Scottsburg to 7-1.
 Everything came up roses for Corydon Central against Austin in their previous meeting  back in December of 2022 as the  team secured a  62-29 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Corydon Central since the  squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
