Scotland won the last time they faced Richmond and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Fighting Scots blew past the Raiders 15-0. The result was nothing new for the Fighting Scots, who have now won 15 contests by nine runs or more so far this season.

Avery Stutts made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in 22 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with four RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Addison Johnson was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, two stolen bases, and four RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Dawson Blue was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Scotland hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least three batters in five consecutive matchups.

Scotland pushed their record up to 22-1 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home. As for Richmond, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-17 record this season.

Scotland will welcome Union Pines at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Fighting Scots' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 9.2 runs per game this season. Richmond does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
