After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Pocatello, the Sandpoint Bulldogs were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They rang in the new year with a 56-44 win over Lewiston. Given Sandpoint's advantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked eighth, while Lewiston is ranked 55th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Several Bengals players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Breanna Albright, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. Albright has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Addy McKarcher was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with seven rebounds.
