The Windsor Central Black Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They suffered a rough 53-30 defeat at the hands of Chenango Forks. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Windsor Central in their matchups with Chenango Forks: they've now lost four in a row.
It was another big night for Stephen Samsel, who scored 28 points along with eight rebounds and three steals for Chenango Forks. That makes it four consecutive games in which Samsel has scored at least 25% of Chenango Forks' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Vaseleck, who scored eight points.
Windsor Central bumped their record down to 0-3 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for Chenango Forks, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Windsor Central will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Chenango Valley at 7:15 p.m. on January 3, 2024. Chenango Forks will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Bainbridge-Guilford at 12:00 p.m. on December 29th.
