Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Granite Hills Cougars, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They fell just short of the Sultans by a score of 3-2. The contest was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Granite Hills couldn't quite close it out.
Granite Hills' loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-3-8. As for Sultana, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 15-7-6 record this season.
Granite Hills does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sultana, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bell Gardens at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
