The North Forrest Eagles will challenge the Quitman Panthers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (North Forrest has six straight wins, Quitman has 11 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Tuesday, North Forrest made easy work of Collins and carried off a 15-2 victory. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Chance Rogers made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. Rogers was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. North Forrest is 8-1 when Rogers posts two or more runs, but 4-5 otherwise.
In other batting news, Landon Hayes was incredible, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Jordyn Barnes was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
North Forrest lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
St. Andrew's Episcopal hit Quitman with a four-run third inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Panthers lost 11-1 to the Saints.
Quitman's defeat dropped their record down to 3-19. As for North Forrest, their win bumped their record up to 12-6.
Everything went North Forrest's way against Quitman in their previous meeting back in March, as North Forrest made off with a 17-3 victory. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
