Capital HomeSchool waltzed into their contest Saturday with two straight wins but they left with three. They walked away with a 61-49 victory over Mishawaka HomeSchool W. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Capital HomeSchool also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
When it comes to explaining why Mishawaka HomeSchool W lost, one person who can't be blamed is Colten Dobrodt. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. The contest was Dobrodt's 15th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Toby Wallenfang, who scored 11 points.
Capital HomeSchool now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Mishawaka HomeSchool W, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-11.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Capital HomeSchool and Novi HomeSchool will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 7:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Mishawaka HomeSchool W will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Benton HomeSchool at 7:30 p.m. on January 11, 2024.
