Ramsey is 0-7 against the Silver Stallions since November of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Ramsey Rams will head out on the road to square off against the Christ Our Rock Lutheran Silver Stallions at 6:15 p.m. Ramsey is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
Last Tuesday, Ramsey was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 36-32 to the Lancers.
Ramsey's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jenni Mezo, who scored six points along with four steals, and Kelli Cook who scored five points along with two steals. Mezo has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played.
Meanwhile, Christ Our Rock Lutheran had to endure an eight-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 46-37 win over Maryville Christian on Monday. The victory was just what Christ Our Rock Lutheran needed coming off of a 51-28 defeat in their prior contest.
Ramsey has not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season. As for Christ Our Rock Lutheran, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-16.
Ramsey took a serious blow against the Silver Stallions in their previous matchup back in December of 2019, falling 64-33. Can Ramsey avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
