When it comes to explaining why Altoona lost, one person who can't be blamed is Bron Mosley. Despite the final result, he rushed for 115 yards and two touchdowns.
It was another big night for Bryce Staretz, who rushed for 133 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. Staretz hasn't dropped below two rushing touchdowns for five straight games. Caiden Pines also helped out with an impressive 105 receiving yards.
Altoona's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 4-6. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 12.0 points per game. As for Cumberland Valley, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-4.
Altoona will head out on the road to face off against Mifflin County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cumberland Valley will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Wilson at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th. Wilson is coming into the game hot, having won their last seven games.
