The biggest upset of the week belonged to Fort Hill, who took down 80th ranked Allegany, 21-20.
St. Mary's Ryken extended the longest winning streak in Freelance this week by beating Riverdale Baptist, 41-0. The victory was the sixth in a row for St. Mary's Ryken.
Northern's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Aaron Broadwater threw for 45 yards and Trevor Harding had 24 yards receiving. On the ground Aaron Rodeheaver chipped in 77 yards. Craig Funk helped Northern's passing attack out by catching two balls for 21 yards.
Eastern Christian Academy's David Sills and Daikiel Shorts have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-4 quarterback Sills has thrown for 719 yards this season, while Shorts has 14 catches for 307 yards. Hancock's Jordan Keefer leads the league in rushing yards with 616.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Sentinels take on the Campers. As it stands, Fort Hill is in third, while Allegany is in fifth.
Southern was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from eighth to sixth in Freelance. Earlier in the week, the Rams defeated the Huskies 7-0.
