Football Recap: Huntley Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Lyla Ginczycki and Evelyn Freundt

After a string of three wins, Huntley's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 18-6 to the St. Charles East Fighting Saints. The game marked the Red Raiders' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Huntley's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Evelyn Freundt, who picked up 139 receiving yards and one TD, and Lyla Ginczycki, who threw for 165 yards and one touchdown. Freundt showed off some serious burst, lighting up the secondary with a catch for 50 yards.

Huntley's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for St. Charles East, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Huntley will take on rival Crystal Lake Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, St. Charles East is set to challenge their familiar foe Glenbard North at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
