The Durango Trailblazers can finally bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They snuck past Western with a 42-37 win. That's another feather in the cap for Durango, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Leading Durango to victory were Amia McKinney and Elizebeth Mahavong. McKinney scored ten points, while Mahavong scored ten points. Those ten points set a new season-high mark for her. Rayneria Lockett was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Durango's victory bumped their record up to 3-10. As for Western, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Silverado the next time they take the court. Durango will head out to face Silverado at 6:55 p.m. on Thursday, while Western will head out to face them at 6:55 p.m. on January 4, 2024.
