The Covenant Day Lions had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. Everything went their way against Charlotte Christian as Covenant Day made off with a  71-47 victory. Given Covenant Day's advantage  in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings  (they are ranked 17th, while Charlotte Christian is ranked 319th), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 Covenant Day's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Chris Rivens, who  scored 13 points.  Michael Marcus Jr. was another key contributor,  scoring 11 points along with eight  rebounds and two  steals.
 Despite the loss, Charlotte Christian still got an impressive performance from   Daniel Guandolo, who  scored 21 points. Guandolo has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Matty Carroll, who  scored ten points.
 Covenant Day has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won ten of their last 11 matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record  this season. As for Charlotte Christian, they are  on  a  ten-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 5-22.
 Covenant Day does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Charlotte Christian also has no future games currently scheduled.
