For Montabella, this counts as revenge for the 45-39 defeat Vestaburg walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.
Despite the defeat, Vestaburg saw an underclassman step up: Lily Johnston scored 14 points.
Montabella's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Vestaburg, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Montabella will head out on the road to square off against Breckenridge at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Breckenridge will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. Vestaburg will take on St. Louis at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. St. Louis presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Vestaburg in Michigan (St. Louis is ranked 145th, while Vestaburg is ranked 391st).
