Given Episcopal's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 25th in Virginia, while Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart is ranked 123rd in Maryland), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Ava Sawi continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 27 points along with eight rebounds and eight steals. The match was her eighth in a row with at least ten points. Shai James was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.
The win (which was Episcopal's fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-1. As for Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.
